Q + A

Is this wedding kid friendly?

With the exception of children involved in the ceremony, this is an adults only celebration.

Where should we stay?

There are so many options in NOLA! Generally we are recommending people stay in the French Quarter or Warehouse District. Either of these areas you will find plenty of options to fit your budget from luxury to affordable. We have secured a block of rooms at the Internation House Hotel (see link under accomodations). Other suggestions include the Hyatt Centric, Sheraton New Orleans, AC Hotel New Orleans, and J.W Marriot.

What should I wear?

The vibe is "bohemian garden party." Suggested- cocktail attire/semi formal. It's going to be warm so choose an outfit that fits the weather. Creative interpretations of "cocktail attire" are also welcome. Get cute, get festive, get jazzy. Pick some clothes that make you smile. It's New Orleans after all and the reception is going to be quite the party. Venue is outdoors so consider skipping the stilettoes.

Can I take pictures of the ceremony?

Yes- BUT we have a photographer so please stay out of his way. Ian knows what he's doing and I promise you're not going to take a better photo than him on your shaky iphone. Let the man work while you enjoy the experience and we'll share photos of the ceremony via Dropbox on the website afterwards, so you all can pick and print your favorites. Ian will be identified before the start of the ceremony. please stay out of his way and stand clear of the shot if he asks you to. Thanks!

can I bring a plus one?

If the note with your invitation specified one, then yes. if you're unsure, you can go to the RSVP page to see if a plus one option has been loaded for you. if you think your plus one was excluded by mistake, please reach out to Sean or Hannah to verify invitation specifics and correct the oversight if necessary.

Is there parking?

Yes. The venue has plenty of free parking.

What's the setting?

The reception and ceremony will be outside. the property is not fully paved. There are paved walkways and a deck, but for the most part, this is a grassy knoll underneath a large oak tree. It will still be light out when the ceremony starts so consider things like insect spray and sunscreen to be safe. Wear practical shoes.

Will alcohol be served/available?

Yes. We will provide an open bar for beer and wine at the reception. There will also be a cash bar open on the property after the reception for anyone wishing to stick around for the after party.

What's on the menu?

Dinner will be a buffet of Cajun and creole classics. We'll post specifics closer to the date.
