<p>Preston and Hannah met at Trinity Free Will Baptist Camp in Twin, AL. They knew of each other when they were campers there, but really got to know each other when they were both councilors. They hit it off and became great friends the first week working together. Even though they both had feelings for each other, more than friends, they couldn’t seem to get out of the friend zone. Hannah was waiting for Preston to make a move and Preston thought that Hannah was not interested. After camp was over, they talked every day for a year. Hannah had been keeping Preston updated on her and her family’s move from Spruce Pine to the Shoals area for about 4 months. At the time, Preston lived in Winfield, AL and Hannah lived in Spruce Pine, AL (about an hour and ten minutes away from each other). A few weeks before Hannah and her family closed on their house in Tuscumbia, Preston’s parents broke the news to him that they were moving also and had already made an offer on a house in Town Creek. He immediately told Hannah the news and then in return, Hannah immediately Googled how far away their new houses would be away from each other. 25 minutes away was the result. Get this: Hannah moved three days before Preston did. They talked about how close they would be to each other and that they had to hang out. “God is working” is what Preston was telling his mom and I was telling mine, “This is it. Preston and I are finally going to get together. I’m falling in love with him.” July 15, 2020- Preston went to church with Hannah and made a move after. This was the start of their relationship. Two weeks later, there was talk of marriage and that they both knew God had put them in each other’s lives. On their two year dating anniversary, July 15th, 2022, Preston proposed. Obviously, Hannah said ‘yes’.</p>
