Rustic Roots is our favorite breakfast spot in VT, and possibly anywhere. A table blueberry pancake is a "must" and so are the pop-overs.
We love Vergennes Laundry for a coffee and a pastry (specifically the cardamom bun). They also have a fantastic brunch menu. It's just 10 minutes from Basin Harbor.
Red Onion is our favorite place to grab a sandwich after swimming in the lake. Their bread is made in-house and we can't get enough of it. Nick orders the Red Onion sandwich and Hannah orders the Veggie (+ salt and vinegar chips) on honey oat bread.
Folino's is our favorite pizza in VT. Seriously, we dream about it. Nick orders the BK Special and Hannah orders the Pesto Bomb. Don't skip the hot honey or the house salad (promise, its great). It's BYOB and they share this space with Fiddlehead Brewing.
Find yourself driving up or down Rote 7? Cookie Love is a must for a creemee and a cookie. The maple creemee is a fan favorite! And it's best with rainbow sprinkles.
Fiddlehead is attached to Folino's (our favorite pizza spot) and is the perfect place to stop for a beer.
Shelburne Farms is the perfect place for a long walk and amazing views of the lake. Take the tractor to the Main Barn for lunch, local VT cheese, and time with the animals.
The Western Loop is our favorite short hike in the area. The trail is well marked and it's easy to park.
All the VT knickknacks you could dream of and arguably the (second) best creemee in the area...
Church Street is the center of Burlington with lots of shops and restaurants. We love the farmers market here on Saturdays!
We love to poke around Malabar for gifts and home-goods.
