After moving far from home and going through many big life changes, I stayed put in Illinois. Kyle and I met at work December 2021. He kept coming around to talk to me and I started wearing crazy Christmas sweaters to spark conversation. After finding out it had been my birthday, bonding over our shared love of Crown Royal, and after barely knowing me, Kyle bought me a bottle of Crown XO (which is his favorite) to try since I’d never tried it. I flew home that Christmas and when I returned, we were inseparable. We spent many nights up until 2AM talking and laughing. Lots of adventures, time with friends, and a lifetime of happiness. Six months later and we were buying rings at Storey Jewelers in Gonzales, and a month after, on July 15th, 2022, we were getting engaged on one of our many hikes. Now after much time, we have finally set a date! June 8th, 2024 in Colorado.
