🎶 “He was a boy.She was a girl.Can I make it any more obvious?He was a transfer.She was an OPA.What more can I say?” 🎶 Hannah began her adventure at James Madison University her freshman year in the fall of 2013. Her goal was to become a math teacher, so she mapped out a math degree with an education minor. One year later, she shared a math class with a ruggedly handsome new transfer student. Aside from cordial hallway greetings, she was too focused on her studies to notice him that first semester. He sat in the back of the classroom with his fellow transfer students and she was at the very front, listening attentively to the professor’s lecture. After a 2-year Associate's degree at Montgomery College, Louis transferred to JMU for his junior year in the fall of 2014. That first semester was a lot to take in and it was an adjustment being away from home. But he made friends in the Tae Kwon Do club and pondered deep, philosophical thoughts in Carrier Library. Thankfully there was a blonde beauty at the front of his first math class that had no issue asking their professor what his latest tangent had to do with the course material. During the spring semester of 2015, Hannah and Louis met again in a coding math class and recognized each other from the previous semester. Hannah was still at the very front and Louis was still at the very back. At the end of the first class, Louis approached Hannah to ask for her phone number and suggest they meet at Carrier Library to work on the homework together. Hannah was happy to collaborate, so she agreed. Despite multiple experiences with this sort of coding before his time at JMU, to this day, Louis insists that he asked without any ulterior motives. Between having lunch together after class and collaborating in the library on homework, the spark was lit. Louis discreetly confirmed with her friend Casey that Hannah was unattached, and so Louis asked Hannah if she wanted to meet up. This was just before Valentine's day, so with a Teddy Bear and chocolates, he asked her "Would you be my Valentine"? Thankfully Casey had told Hannah about his question, so Hannah knew just what to say: Yes!
