Q + A

Are children invited?

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night! If you are bringing your child(ren) to Florida and need a babysitter for the wedding, please reach out to Hannah or Ryan and they would be happy to connect you with a highly recommended babysitter in the area.

Is there a dress code?

We are requesting that our guests wear cocktail or formal attire- no jeans! Please keep in mind that the ceremony is in a Catholic Mass, so we ask that your attire is appropriate for this setting.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony begins promptly at 2pm at Holy Name of Jesus, with prelude music beginning at about 1:40pm. The church has another service after our wedding mass, so we do not have the option to delay the start of the ceremony. Please arrive by 1:50pm at the latest so you have time to park and be seated in the church.

what should we do between the ceremony and reception?

The ceremony is 2-3pm, with some family photos taken on the church altar from 3-3:30pm. The cocktail hour at the reception venue begins at 5pm. The 1.5-2 hours in between are yours-- feel free to freshen up or take a cat nap in your hotel room, caffeinate with a Starbucks or Wawa beverage in preparation for the exciting evening ahead, or start the party early at Lou's Blues, Cadillac Cove, or Mavericks 321 (find addresses and websites for these bars under "Local Libations" on the "Things to Do" page).

If I'm not catholic, can I still attend the ceremony?

Yes, we would love for all guests-- regardless of religion-- to attend the ceremony. If you've never been to a Catholic mass, just follow along with the crowd and use the provided program to walk you through the service.
