Our Adventure Together So Far...

Picture of Our Adventure Together So Far...

We started chatting in March of 2022 after having matched on Tinder. Our first date was a movie date. After the movie was over, we hugged goodbye and Jeff thought "Wow, she's tiny. I can wrap my arms all the way around her and touch my shoulders." After being asked what his chances were for a second date, Hannah replied "Pretty good" although she was thinking "pretty good because we didn't even get to talk since we were watching a movie!"

Our second date was a dinner date at Cubby's where we were able to chat more and learn more about each other. The next time we got together, Jeff got to meet Ruby, Hannah's doggo. They hit it off right away and have since been two peas in a pod.

In June of 2022, Hannah and Jeff were attending a music in the street event in Watertown. We shared a growler of beer, and Hannah, being the lightweight that she is, was tipsy after two glasses. Hannah also got to meet Jeff's grandparents and aunt. Later that evening, Jeff asked Hannah to be his girlfriend and Hannah said yes.

Since then, the couple has enjoyed doing numerous activities together. From disc golfing at the park, to playing cribbage or other card/board games, to fishing and kayaking, to going to the dog park with Rubes, to hanging out with family and friends, the two have simply enjoyed growing through life together.

In September of 2023, Jeff's sister told Hannah that they had plans to do "family pictures."

On October 14th, 2023, the couple met with Jeff's family to do pictures at the Dakota Nature Park. It was a bit chilly but it was a fun time nonetheless. While walking toward the nature center, Hannah said "Hey! That looks like my dad's car!" She didn't think much of it as there were more than one car that looked the same. Jeff, however, became a little nervous. Everyone continued walking along the path and Hannah looked to the right and saw a couple on the dock. She looked closer and thought that the guy had a coat similar to her dads and that the woman's hair looked like her mom's. Hannah muttered to herself "wait a minute..." Jeff also seemed to be on his phone quite frequently as well, which Hannah thought was suspicious. We came up on a bridge and decided to take individual couple pictures there. We were told that we were going first. We took some pictures with Ruby first and then just the two of us. We were doing some funny poses when Jeff decided he wanted to position Hannah a certain way. At this point, Hannah was pretty certain she knew what was happening ;) She turned around and Jeff was on one knee holding a ring! Of course, it was an easy yes! Hannah's suspicions had been right and moments later, her parents had come walking up. Turns out, Jeff had put his sister up to telling Hannah about photos but it was his plan to propose all along. He even planned for her parents to be there as well :)

Since being engaged, Hannah and Jeff have been living in Brookings and are planning for the big day!
