Our story begins with a night out with friends, celebrating life, and enjoying drinks on an Autumn night. Matt and I happened to sit at the only table left on the patio that night. Our friends struck up a conversation and soon we did too.

My good friend Amanda liked Matt so much and must have noticed the connection as she later decided to pass along my phone number.

A wink and a week later we met for a quick brunch that turned into an all-day event. We talked about everything under the sun. It was exciting, yet familiar in the best way. Since then, we have spent time learning about one another and eating as much queso as we possibly could. We travelled, we laughed, we ate, we drank, we adventured, and one thing remained- we were a team.

We decided to take our adventure/eating skills to Italy last September. Our plan was to stay in Rome for eight days to sight see, attend the Ryder Cup, and eat pizza/pasta/gelato. Matt decided to plan a getaway in the middle of the week to the Amalfi Coast. I wasn't sure what he had planned, but I knew he was taking me to one of the most beautiful places in the world.

After taking a Charter bus that weaved through one way roads along the mountain coast, we arrived in Ravello. Lemon trees hung over our terrace and our view consisted of mountains to the left and the sea to the right. After dinner, we stood out on the terrace overlooking the night sky. As I turned around to sit down with Matt, he had a ring setting on the table.

The answer was a shocked and resounding "Yes." Obviously :)

The one thing that has remained true since the beginning- even more than how much fun we have together- is how well we work through everything life throws at us, together.
