On a Friday evening after a long week of teaching, Gareth took me back to the place we first met over 3 years ago. I was so surprised when he asked me to marry him, and I said yes! After a year of becoming friends long distance, communicating only through letter and phone call, Gareth took me on our first date January 17th, 2019. Less than a week after, I left to study in Israel for three months then saw him for only two weeks before he had to go back home to Michigan. After that long summer, we were finally able to date more traditionally at the University for a semester (until the pandemic situation forced us to be long-distance once again). We have been dating for over two years and I am so happy to spend the rest of my life with Gareth, my best and most trusted friend.
