In the fall of 2017, Chris and Hannah first met outside their freshman dorms on a chilly October night. A gaggle of football and softball players were talking and walking their way up the freshman hill. Chris claims love at first sight, but Hannah was just confused why this random kid was planted next to her. Two weeks later at a Halloween costume party, they reconnected. The night ended with Top Gun's Maverick and an unnamed boxer going for a walk around campus (you guess who was who), despite the pouring rain. At only 1% battery, Chris asked Hannah for her number. Excited but still confused, Hannah gave out her digits. That following day, the pair talked for nearly four hours straight (would've loved to be a fly on the wall for that convo!). By the following weekend, Chris had officially asked Hannah to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!
They enjoyed falling in love, always cheering and supporting each other on and off the sports fields, to now being teammates in raising a puppy together in their new home.
Chris and Hannah both attended the University of Rochester. Hannah studied Brain and Cognitive Science, Psychology, and American Sign Language while Chris studied Mechanical Engineering and Business. Throughout their four years, they started living in neighboring dorms, which soon turned into neighboring houses off campus. Chris got to prove his handyman skills when a car got stuck in Hannah's backyard, or when he taught her how to patch her tire (after her landlord dropped a few too many dry wall screws in the driveway). Hannah, on the other hand, got to show off her knack for spontaneous plans by packing Chris' bag and surprising him with a trip to Niagara Falls. They both graduated in 2021 and moved back to Hannah's hometown in Swampscott, MA. Three years of living in Hannah's childhood bedroom and saving up finally earned them their first home in Newton, New Hampshire.
After graduation, Chris started working at Turner Construction, while Hannah pursued her nursing degree and began working in the ICU. Chris quickly caught Hannah’s travel bug and jumped on her National Park train. They love hiking together and of course still love long walks (preferably not in the rain, but it still wouldn’t deter them). So far they have enjoyed exploring Acadia as well as a camper-van roadtrip through Utah, catching Hannah’s favorite sunsets and sunrises with each new spot.
