In 2017 Philip and Hannah had a blind date that marked the beginning of a 6+ year long relationship. They wouldn’t necessarily say it was “love at first sight” because looks can be deceiving, but after 2 hours of non-stop talk over a meal they hardly touched, they wanted to spend more time together. After a few more dates and lots of communication, they decided that they wanted to pursue a relationship. In 2019 Philip decided to enlist in the military, where for 4 years he would give up his time to serve for his country. Hannah was supportive with his decision, though it was hard to say goodbye for such a long time. Though it was hard, Hannah and Philip kept their relationship going by doing long distance. In 2020, Philip came home for a time before being stationed overseas, and surprised Hannah with the most amazing going away present— a proposal. Unfortunately because of COVID, Hannah and Philip were forced to have a long engagement. But, after 6 years of dating, and over 3 years of being engaged, Hannah and Philip have grown their relationship to be stronger and more prepared for their time as a married couple. Though they have experienced long distance, which was a challenge, to this day their relationship has grown and blossomed into something amazing. They are so blessed to have such supportive parents, and are excited to celebrate their marriage with all the people they love!
