Q + A

If you have any other questions, please reach out to

Hannah at 361-701-4599 or Austin at 281-746-8873.

What is the dress code?

To celebrate this exciting event, we ask that you please dress in a semi-formal attire. This means suits for the men and dresses (long or short) for the women.

WHICH CHURCH WILL THE CEREMONY TAKE PLACE IN?

St. Mary's has 2 churches: the new church with the big dome, and the old church with the white steeple that is connected to the student center. Our wedding mass will take place in the old church with the white steeple (pictured below).

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

An arrival time after 1:30 pm and before 1:50 pm would be ideal.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Although we would love to have everyone to celebrate, our venue can only accommodate a limited number of people. So unless stated on your invitation and RSVP card, we kindly ask that you please do not bring any extra guests.

THIS IS A CATHOLIC WEDDING, BUT I AM NOT CATHOLIC. WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

The Catholic Church welcomes all to its sacramental celebrations. We would be honored to have your full participation in the Mass and encourage you to follow along with the program. As a witness to the marriage of the bride and groom, you are called to actively assist in the wedding ceremony through words and actions that show your love and support for the couple. If you are not Christian, this may be as simple as being a warm presence for the couple and participating in the words and actions of the wedding liturgy as you feel comfortable. (No one expects you to say prayers or make statements of faith that do not reflect your beliefs.) If you are Christian, you are invited to join the whole assembly to offer your prayers (spoken and sung) for the couple. If you are unfamiliar with a Catholic Mass, the program will be a very helpful guide. In short terms - simply stand, sit, and, if you are comfortable, kneel with the rest of the congregation and just enjoy the beauty of the moment!
