We met on the first Friday of the month after a union meeting at a local bar, a regular spot for our union brothers and sisters. What started as a casual night quickly became something more, and we exchanged phone numbers. Thankfully, Brandi and Toma reminded us of how great the night was, which helped us rekindle the connection. Not long after, one of us invited the other over to help with apprentice homework, an easy excuse to spend more time together. That night, it became clear that it wasn’t just about the homework but about wanting the other person around for everything. From then on, we made the most of every opportunity to be together—whether it was grabbing coffee, helping with moving, traveling, or staying up late talking about everything from work to dreams for the future. And that’s how our story began, one small moment at a time, until it became the story of us.
