We met when we were just 13 and 14 years old. Awkward, hormonal, and absolutely convinced we knew everything about love. Spoiler alert. We did not. But from the very beginning, something clicked. It may have been our shared sense of humor or possibly our braces. Either way, it was real.We started dating in high school, when our biggest worries were curfews, math homework, and whether we could sit next to each other at the movies while sharing popcorn. Like any great love story that starts young, ours came with a few plot twists. We were on and off through our teenage years, learning who we were and who we wanted to become. Think long running teen drama complete with character development and the occasional dramatic text message.Then came college. Life pulled us in different directions and taught us some important lessons along the way. One of us had a five year plan, a color coded calendar, and a strong appreciation for structure. The other preferred to go with the flow and trust that everything would work out. Even with time apart, different cities, and a few questionable decisions in between, life had a funny way of bringing us back together. Because when it is meant to be, it always finds a way.For the past three years, we have chosen each other every single day. We have grown up together, laughed through the awkward phases, supported each other through the hard moments, and celebrated all the small wins. In April 2025, we got engaged and officially started planning forever.Today, we love hosting friends, spending time at the lake, trying new food and attempting to recreate it at home, and turning any casual get together into a full blown party. Taiten keeps us grounded with his calm, easygoing energy. I keep us on schedule with a detailed itinerary, multiple Google Docs, and just a touch of Type A planning. Together, we are the perfect balance of chaos and calm, spontaneity and structure, margaritas and meal prep.We are so excited to start this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most. We cannot wait to celebrate with you, and yes, there will be great food, dancing, and probably a color coded itinerary. Cheers to forever, planned or not.
