In February 2023, Hannah and Patrick were two strangers paired up as bridesmaid and groomsman for the wedding of friends. They can honestly claim that their relationship started by walking down the aisle! The two started talking during the photos and kept sneaking glances at each other throughout the night. After the celebrating was over, Hannah lingered around, hoping for one last conversation with Patrick. He walked up to her, offered to help her take her things to her car, and asked if she would be interested in showing him around Valley Forge Park, her happy place.

The next week, on a cold and windy day, the two had their first date at Valley Forge where they hiked and picnicked and enjoyed getting to know one another. For example, Hannah learned of Patrick's disdain of pickles when he admitted this to her after eating the sandwich (including pickles) that she had made for him. Patrick's friends say they knew he was serious when he told them he ate pickles for her!

Since then, and despite the hour drive between them, the two have enjoyed each other's company on many adventures, including simple local hiking, chasing the solar eclipse, and taking a day trip to Ft. Lauderdale, FL (their most memorable adventure).

In contrast to their first date, on one of the hottest days of the summer, Patrick knelt down and proposed to Hannah back at her favorite spot in Valley Forge. She said yes, and now here you are reading their story on their wedding website!

They are excited to embark on the adventure of everyday life together and many more adventures to come!
