This love story began in Waukesha, back in the summer of 2015. Kris was new to working at Home Depot, where Hannah was then a cashier. One day, she approached him so that he could help her lift something. She thought he was sweet; he thought she was standoffish. After only exchanging small talk here and there, Hannah invited him to a group haunted house outing with other coworkers. They remained friends until Hannah made the first move. Things got serious in 2016 when Kris drove nonstop to Santa Fe, New Mexico, to spend the weekend with Hannah. Kris recalls this time as one of his favorite memories with Hannah.

Fast forward to 2018, when Kris made the tough decision to follow Hannah to Tennessee and then Colorado for that she can complete her doctorate. Finally, on February 22, 2020, Kris proposed over drinks around the fire, to which Hannah so eloquently responded “yup”.

Since then, they flourished during a quarantine in a tiny house, a third move to Florida, a new job for Hannah, and a new career for Kris. Looking back on all of their wonderful adventures, they cannot wait for this exciting new chapter as husband and wife!
