Nick and Hannah met in Spanish class during their senior year of high school at Benet Academy. After getting to know each other in class, Nick decided to ‘pop the question’ and ask Hannah to Senior Prom in 2015. Neither of them would have predicted then that Nick would go on to ‘pop’ an even bigger question nine years later.

The couple dated throughout college, with Hannah at Saint Louis University and Nick at the University of Kansas. Fortunately, their four-hour distance allowed for frequent weekend visits to each other’s campuses with some of their favorite memories including nights out in Lawrence, cheering on the Billikens and Jayhawks at basketball games, and celebrating St. Louis Mardi Gras.

Nick moved to Chicago after graduation, and Hannah joined him two years later after completing physical therapy school. The couple now lives together in Lake View, where they enjoy walks along the lakefront, exploring the various Chicago neighborhoods, boating on Lake Michigan, and spending time with the many friends and family members they are lucky to have nearby.

With the help of Hannahs close friend Kayla and her boyfriend Jordan, Nick planned the perfect proposal in Breckenridge, Colorado, during their annual ski trip. The proposal would not have gone as smoothly without Kayla scouting out the best location and responding to all of Hannah’s difficult questions throughout the weekend, like, “Why do we have to go for a scenic walk when we just spent all day skiing in the mountains?” It’s safe to say Hannah was definitely surprised, as that scenic walk turned into one of the most special days in Nick and Hannah’s lives together.
