I've never been to an Indian wedding- What should I expect?
A traditional Indian wedding is normally a multi-day affair filled with color, celebration, games, traditions and most of all, a lot of dancing. We have chosen to only celebrate one day!
How long will the ceremony be?
Before the ceremony, there will be the grooms arrival known as the baraat. This will be followed by the traditional ceremony. The ceremony will be around 45 minutes- 1 hour. During this time, we request guests to keep conversations to a minimum and follow along with the ceremony. Our approach to the ceremony is to do the main Hindu rituals and customs. However, to blend our two cultures we will have a Presbyterian minister providing an English interpretations to promote equality and respect for both the bride and groom.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We will have some great photographers documenting the ceremony and ask that guests put their phones away so everyone can remain present in the moment.
What is a Baraat?
A Baraat is a procession in which the groom and his family arrive at the wedding. At a Baraat , we encourage the bride's loved ones to join in toward the end and greet the groom and his family.
Can I bring a date?

Are kids allowed?
