Our journey began in the fall of 2020 at Petal-Harvey Baptist Church in Petal, Mississippi. We first connected over a game of Wii Sports with friends, and we shared unforgettable moments like late-night trips to the Coast and bonfires with close friends and family. Though our connection was undeniable, we chose to remain friends at that time, cherishing the bond we had even if from a distance.


Even when David returned to Missouri, our connection remained strong. During that time apart, David realized his life was incomplete without Hannah. After graduating from Ozarks Technical College, David's heart led him back to Hattiesburg, to attend William Carey University but also to be closer to Hannah. Despite feeling unworthy and unprepared for a relationship, being near her brought him immense joy and peace.


We enjoyed a beautiful season of friendship during this time. Even though life’s challenges sometimes caused our communication to falter, our bond always drew us back together and continued to grow.


In the fall of 2022, our friendship grew stronger as we were spending more time together than ever before. Our long walks and deep conversations brought us closer, intensifying David's desire to pursue a relationship. After much thought, fervent prayer, and reflection, David asked Hannah out in the WCU prayer garden while out on a late night walk.  Hannah said yes!


Since then, we have weathered many storms together. Through long distances, challenges, and several moves, we have remained steadfast, forging an unbreakable bond centered on our love for God and our unwavering commitment to each other. Our relationship is built on love, trust, sacrifice, and grace.


In the spring of 2024, David proposed, and Hannah once again said yes! Now, with hearts full of love and anticipation, we eagerly look forward to our future, ready to build a life together centered on God and His guidance.
