In March 2022, David and I first met through a mutual friend. Fast forward to that June, one sunny day at the beach, what started as casual conversation quickly turned into something deeper. We found ourselves opening up about our lives, sharing the things we were struggling with, and connecting in a way that neither of us expected. From that day on, something just felt different.

For a while, we kept in touch with easy, casual conversations. Then came the study dates—what we told ourselves were just friendly meetups slowly turned into something more. One day, we finally admitted to each other that our feelings had been growing all along. On October 4th, during a study date at a very special park, David asked me to be his girlfriend.

Since then, our love story has been full of little adventures: concerts, weekend getaways to Grand Rapids, way too many late nights of video games, and the start of our ever-growing board game collection. In March 2024, we moved into our small, yet cozy, first apartment together. We made it our home quickly, especially after welcoming our two kittens, Button and Velcro, in July.

Shortly after becoming proud cat parents, we took a trip to a family cottage up north—a place that holds so many special memories for us. During a quiet boat ride on the lake, surrounded by all the beauty, David asked me to marry him. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

This past June, we added our third little troublemaker, Macaroni, to the mix—and now, with a full house and an even fuller heart, we’re planning our wedding for next May!

These days, life is full of exciting changes: new career paths, school developments, and (finally!) a new car. Through it all, we’re building a life full of love, laughter, cats, and too many board games to count. We’re both deeply family-oriented, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who mean the most to us.

Our biggest dream? To continue growing our little family, and to one day be the best parents we can be.
