Our love story...

Picture of Our love story...

In 2016, Justin and I met where we both worked, at Piggly Wiggly. We never made much interaction with each other, unless related to work; but mother knows best! My sweet mama pushed us together in 2018 and I was hesitant! I thought he was cute but a little older and uninterested in me. To my surprise, we quickly fell in love with each others personalities, similar values, and the way we easily complimented each other. Now we are soon to be married with a strong love for each other and our life, and he has grown to be just as weird as me! He is so sweet to me and I am so blessed to love him. Here it is mama; You. Were. Right! I thank you and God for that daily.

Almost immediately after we began dating, I moved into his home in Farmville and we grew more seriously in our relationship. He always jokes that we would have married that first year if I wasn’t focused with trying to finish college before making a decision about marriage. We both knew we wanted to marry and that the time would come naturally for it. Little did we know that after five years together we would get engaged and then physically, not relationally, separate soon after.

In the first couple of years together, Justin and I grew in our walk with God, and we both got saved since being together. We quickly grew more in our faith and as our relationship progressed we began going to church, and learning more about theology and what it means to be a Christian.
After we engaged in May of 2023, we started a new church that helped us to grow in many ways, by getting us involved, and helping us to evolve and learn our convictions. After praying, God led us to separate from living together until we married, what would unfold to be a rewarding experience to grow in our obedience, and our relationship together and with Him.

I moved back home with my family after having been moved out for years. They supported and loved me more than I could ever imagine, and our relationship grew better in many ways. I learned more about what it means to have complete faith in our sovereign Lord during this time as it wasnt always easy. Justin learned his role as a husband and began preparing our home, and becoming a provider for our future, especially as he took on a new job during this time.

We went through hardships, navigating what sometimes felt like a divorce from each other. However, we learned that Gods love often looks like a season of trials to lead you to redemption, and to the peace that comes with the obedience of His word. When you are faced with cumbersome times, it is a joy to overcome the adversity with earnestness to produce endurance and a steadfast love for God and His faithfulness. We have never felt more blessed in our lives than we do now. To marry is to enter into covenant with God and learn more of the gospel and His wisdom for living a righteous life. Justin and I have learned that we have the best support systems from our families who have supported us during our time of engagement, to our church walking with us weekly and encouraging us in our future opportunities. We are honored for each guest to join us on our special day and take part in witnessing the start to our marriage and are eager to watch how our lives continue to grow with you in them.

We love you all, and we are so thankful for all of your love and support for us.
