We met for the first time in 2021, and talked for about four months. At the time I was not looking for a relationship, so things didn’t progress further than friendship.

Almost three years later, in April of 2024 I prayed for God to fulfill a promise He had made to me about a spouse. Two days later, I received a message from Jared Hobson. I was cautious at first, but quickly came to realize how intentional, caring, and godly he was. We talked for hours every day about everything and nothing. And, one month into getting to know one another, he expressed feelings for me while I sat on the boat dock by my house.

Two months after that, Jared and his brother Braden (who knew we were meant for each other long before we did… like three years before) took the long trek from Alaska to Tennessee to visit me for the first time. Immediately after he arrived, I took Jared to meet my dad. He spoke with him before ever making things official with me. That evening, Jared told me he loved me on the same boat dock I was sitting on when we expressed feelings for each other for the first time a month prior. It quickly became evident that God had intertwined our lives and callings together.

On November 23, 2024, Jared proposed to me on the same boat dock as we had made so many memories before. In June of 2025 we will commit our lives to one another before God and our closest family and friends.

God is writing our love story, and I couldn't have wished for a better one.
