Chad (Dane's) dad and Hannah did crossfit together for several years. Chad always talked about his son to everyone at the box. Chad also struggled often with technology (still does) and so Hannah and her friend Stephanie would help him often. His son, Dane also would help. One time, Hannah and Dane spoke via facetime and didn't even realize it would matter.

One day, Chad brought his son to crossfit to workout. Hannah and Dane were partners for the workout. "I kept thinking I had to carry this stupid tire on my turn so Dane wouldn't think I was such a wimp." We still laugh about this. Anyway, after that we went to our friend, Matt's house and had pizza. After that we went to a play at Adam's Central and Hannah and Dane sat next to each other. Then, Dane and Chad had to go home early and that was it.

A few weeks later, Dane messaged Hannah and asked her on the date the next time he came to Hastings. She said yes. Dane came for a crossfit workout called "Murph." Prior to the workout, Dane and Hannah went on a date and that's pretty much it. They've been together ever since.
