We met at Summer Missions Training Retreat, the same weekend Cody moved to Clinton. After the retreat, we got to hangout at dinner with a group of students and other retreat mentors.

After many nights of pickleball and watching documentaries with our friends, Cody asked Hannah out on a date.

Our first date! What was supposed to be a simple coffee date turned into 5 hours of talking, laughing, and getting to know one another.

After a few more dates and dinner with Hannah's parents, Cody asked Hannah to be his girlfriend. We took this BeReal seen around the world that night.

Hannah had no clue that Cody was going to propose! She even accidently postponed her engagement by half an hour because she wanted to take a nap after work. Cody surprised Hannah proposing at the rez and with an engagement party with our family and friends back at my house! And despite a storm and tornado warning it was one of the most incredible nights ever!
