Patrick and I first met during our sophomore year of high school in algebra class. What started as a sweet friendship turned into something more, and by February of junior year, we made it official and started dating. Thursdays quickly became our favorite day of the week – we’d spend our free period grabbing lunch at Village Fare, our favorite local pizza shop, before heading back to school. Most Friday nights were spent together, watching our favorite shows and cooking dinner or baking desserts.

We stayed together through high school and into college, but during our sophomore year, we decided to take some time apart to grow independently. After graduating college in 2019, we reconnected – and the spark was even stronger than before. Shortly after college, Patrick moved in with me and my parents, and not long after that, the COVID lockdown started. Thankfully, we had Milo to keep us active and entertained during those uncertain times.

By spring of 2020, we took the next big step and moved into our first apartment together! Adjusting to adulthood had its challenges, but we learned how to communicate better and face life as a team. After a year (and a crazy landlord), we found our current apartment, where we’ve built a close-knit community with our neighbors. Patrick’s dad and grandfather even live just down the road!

This summer marks six amazing years of living together. We’ve grown so much as individuals and as a couple – always supporting each other and finding joy in the everyday moments. We love taking Milo to the park and the beach, trying new foods, and discovering new adventures together. We can’t wait for the next chapter as husband and wife, best friends, and so much more!
