Our Wedding

Hannah and Ryan have known each other for nearly their entire lives, having grown up in the same hometown and attended the same schools. However, their love story is far from the typical "love at first sight" tale. Instead, it’s best described as a classic&nbsp;enemies-to-lovers&nbsp;romantic comedy—a plotline that the Hallmark Channel would probably turn into a cheesy Christmas movie by next year if they happened to catch wind of it. From the beginning, these two practically despised each other and went out of their way to avoid one another throughout childhood. But whether it was fate or just sheer irony, their attempts at avoidance were frequently foiled. Hannah and Ryan had mutual friends that happened to be siblings, which meant that they often found themselves stuck in the same place quite often. Whether it was family camping trips, visits to the Wisconsin Dells, or other group outings, they were constantly in each other’s orbit. Naturally, all this extra time together would lead to them falling madly in love, right? Wrong. If anything, all that extra time together only fueled their mutual animosity. When college finally arrived, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to leave their forced interactions behind, as Hannah headed to Eau Claire and Ryan to La Crosse. Surely, their days of being stuck together were over, right? Again, wrong. As fate would have it, both returned home for summer jobs. But this time, instead of being confined to a camper in the woods with their childhood friends, they were stuck in a lakeside cabin with a group of screaming children as summer camp counselors. Though they initially tried to avoid each other, the demands of camp life soon forced them to work together. Hannah excelled at providing structure and comforting kids through bumps and bruises, while Ryan brought the vigor and rambunctiousness needed to tire out a group of overly energetic children. By the end of the summer, they had grown past their animosity and formed a genuine friendship. The following summer, their friendship deepened. By the time they returned to college, they were practically inseparable. They eventually began dating and, over the past eight years, have continued to be each other’s rock through challenges, accomplishments, moves across the country, and countless adventures. Though life has often kept them miles apart, Hannah and Ryan are thrilled to start their next chapter together. This May, surrounded by their favorite people, they will officially tie the knot and write the next page in their&nbsp;enemies-to-lovers&nbsp;story!

COCKTAIL HOUR, DINNER, & RECEPTION

Time: 4:00 pmLocation: The HowardAddress: 405 Washington Avenue, Oshkosh, WI Cocktail hour followed by a family-style dinner and a live music reception. This is a handicap accessible venue. Staff from The Howard will be available to direct guests in need to the elevator and other accessible areas.

We lived on the same floor of Govs freshman year of college, so we met during welcome week activities.&nbsp;By the second semester of that year we were roommates!&nbsp;I moved down the hall to Hannah's room when her roommate who was studying abroad at UWEC went home.&nbsp;We lived together for four semesters total during our undergrad years.&nbsp; My favorite memory with the bride: It is so hard to pick just one! We had so many little silly moments while living together. I think I’ll go with the time I visited her over the summer in Wisconsin Rapids, this was also the weekend I first met Ryan, and Hannah took me to Wisconsin Dells for my first time.&nbsp;
