Our Love Story

If anyone knows Hannah and Elias, they know it’s been an incredible adventure to get where they are today! Their story began back in their junior year of high school when a mutual friend invited Hannah to a church event, the very same event where Elias was getting baptized. Neither of them could have guessed that this special day would also mark the beginning of something even more life-changing. After that day, Hannah and Elias spent time talking and getting to know each other, quickly realizing there was a real connection forming. However, as life often goes, God had a plan that required them to grow separately before they could be together. So, they lost touch for nearly five years. One evening, Hannah found herself talking with her mom about someone she considered “the one who got away." Little did she know, just a week later, she would receive a friend request from Elias on Instagram. It felt almost like fate, and with a little encouragement (and some liquid courage!) from her mom, Hannah decided to send Elias a message.After what felt like the longest 45 minutes of her life, Elias responded — and just like that, they started talking again. For the next month, they reconnected, sharing stories about their awkward high school days and everything that had happened since then. It was clear that the spark had never really gone away. They made plans to meet in Reno during Hannah’s brother's basketball tournament. When they saw each other again, Hannah quite literally fell into Elias’s arms, tripping over a lip in the ground (a story they still laugh about!). From that moment, it felt like no time had passed at all. They spent the entire night talking, laughing, and feeling like they had found something truly special. Although they both wanted to take things slowly, love had other plans. In June 2023, Hannah and Elias officially started dating, and from there, their real adventure began.This is just the beginning of Hannah and Elias’s love story, a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are worth the wait.

Michayla has been my best friend since 3rd grade, and over the years, she's become more like family than a friend. We've grown up together, navigated life’s highs and lows side by side, and created more memories than I can count. From late-night talks to endless laughs, she's always been my constant. She's my go-to concert buddy, my fellow ride-or-die One Direction fan, and the person who just gets me. I truly can’t imagine this day—or life—without her.

Ben has been my best friend since we were kids. When we grew up, we pretty much did as much as we could together. From playing baseball for most of our childhood together, to catching up with drinks as adults he has always been there for me, and has been a great brother in Christ. Ben recently graduated from Westmont College and is now working as a firefighter for the National Parks Service.

Jessica is Elias’s sister-in-law, and from the very start, she’s made joining the Benton family such a meaningful and special journey. We instantly bonded over being the newest additions to the family, and that connection has only grown deeper. Jessica’s faith shines through in everything she does—her joy, her kindness, and the way she constantly encourages me to lean on God. Her spirit is truly uplifting, and I’m so excited to officially call her my sister-in-law soon!

Luke is my oldest brother and is one of the people I look up to the most. He was always there for me growing up and taught me many of the skills I have today. Some of the best memories I have are the hours in the woods on deer hunts or the pouring rain in the duck blind together.

Joanna is Elias’s sister, but from the moment we met, we clicked instantly. Over time, our bond grew and she’s become one of my best friends. She has this infectious joy that lights up every room she walks into, and being around her is always uplifting. From the very beginning, she welcomed me into the family with open arms and a warm heart—and I truly can’t wait to officially call her my sister.

Justice and Elias grew up as rough and tumble brothers. Wrestling matches were a daily occurrence and they were always trying to keep up with each other. They were always doing something that kept the safety levels low and the parents stress levels high. They survived childhood together but they still make sure to get a wrestling match in when they see each other.

Peyton is my sister—not by blood or marriage (anymore)—but by heart, always. We've been through so much together growing up, and our bond has only gotten stronger with time. If you saw us side by side, you'd probably think we’re total opposites—and you'd be right! But that’s exactly what makes our relationship so special. Her bright spirit, hilarious stories, and one-of-a-kind energy bring so much life wherever she goes, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side.

Miles is Hannah's younger brother. Miles and I instantly got along from the beginning. We easily bonded over cars and humor. We easily became friends, and I am excited to gain another brother. Miles is currently a senior in high school and plays Varsity Basketball. He is set to go to GCU in the fall to major in Pre-Med.

Matthias is my youngest brother of my six siblings. We grew up doing stunts and dirt bike riding together, and recently started to hunt as well. Matthias is currently a freshman in high school, and plays lacrosse for the high school team in town.
