Ben and Hannah met as seniors in high school. Ben was on Hannah's dad's golf team in high school. Hannah and her sister Leslie were voted onto the Homecoming court the same year, Hannah as a queen candidate and Leslie as the sophomore attendant. Ben offered his jeep to Doug for Leslie to ride in for the Homecoming parade. So Ben brought his jeep to Caldwell on a Friday night before the football game where he knew no one. As he stood around waiting to drive Leslie with Doug for the parade, he waited with Hannah's driver, Angela Schafer (Who would later become his boss's wife).

Ben and Hannah started to date in January of 2018. After they graduated, they both attended Marietta College, where Hannah cheered and Ben golfed. 4 years later Hannah graduated with her degree in business management and marketing and Ben pursued other options to become an auctioneer and real estate agent.

Here we are now. Hannah works for Peoples Bank and Ben is a full time employee for Ed and Ben Schafer Auctioneers and Realty. They live in Lowell.

They got engaged October 7, 2023 at Seneca Lake. They were there for Halloween weekend at the Cunningham Camper. Almost one whole year later they will officially be getting married.
