Austin and Hannah’s story began in 2016, when mutual friends brought them together. Over the next three years, they became close friends, nearly inseparable and sharing countless memories. That friendship took a turn in April 2019 when Austin invited Hannah to Marion Local's prom. Just a few months later, on June 23, 2019, Austin asked Hannah out in his signature style—as they were being escorted out of the Maria Stein Countryfest at midnight.

Austin's humor has always been one of his most captivating traits, keeping Hannah entertained and by his side throughout the years. Even as Hannah pursued her education across three different colleges in Michigan, Cincinnati, and Celina, Austin was unwavering in his support, standing by her through every decision and change.

In 2022, Austin took a significant step by purchasing a house in New Bremen, where they began building a home filled with love and laughter, sharing it with their beloved dog, Murphy, who is more like a son to them. After 2.5 years in their home, 5 years of dating, and 7 years of knowing each other, Austin finally popped the question—something everyone who knew them had eagerly anticipated, as they were the last couple in their friend group to take the leap.

The proposal was perfectly orchestrated. One day, after Hannah finished her shift at Plantique, the local plant shop, Austin mentioned they would be having lunch with his grandparents, which was typical since they lived nearby. But when Hannah arrived, she found Austin under his grandparents beautiful willow tree with Murphy, who was sporting a bandana that read, "Will you marry me?" In that moment, surprise and joy took over as Austin asked the question!
