Friday July 23, 2021 Hannah: After a grueling week of work, Hannah slammed her laptop shut for the weekend and rushed to get ready for her friend Katelyn’s birthday party. Having never met the new friends Katelyn made at law school, she obviously wanted to impress and spent some time getting her makeup right. After taking several selfies to check that everything was decent, she took off on the 2 hour journey from Iowa City to Omaha. As she drove she grew increasingly anxious for the social interaction with several smart future lawyers, but nevertheless felt very excited to see her friend. Katelyn greeted her in the parking lot and took her to the apartment.&nbsp; At first glance Hannah immediately spotted a tall drink of water across the kitchen island, and while she knew very little of the law she did know one thing, the law of attraction (and boy was she).&nbsp; Joe: About to start his 2nd year of law school, Joe was invited to the birthday party of a mutual friend. As the night crept upon him, he was mostly tired and ready to back out at the slightest inconvenience. No, he must honor his commitments and it was well within walking distance. He got to the party, made the rounds of hellos to fellow classmates, and settled at the kitchen island. Board games were played, conversations were had, then the birthday girl announced that her out of state friend just pulled up. He saw her come in and only caught a glimpse as she made her way into the bathroom (to put on lip plumper because she saw a hot guy). Once she was back he thought, “Damn, that's the girl I want to marry.” Throughout the night he was trying to play it cool with casual moves such as asking her a question right as she took a mouthful of pizza. Works every time. Both: The pair sat across from each other and Joe poked fun at Hannah for not wanting to participate in the board games. As the night wound down they said goodbyes and Joe headed home WITHOUT GETTING HER NUMBER. A few days went by and all they could think about was each other. Hannah expressed to Katelyn that she could not get this man out of her mind. It was then revealed that Joe had also been reaching out to see when her elusive friend would be back in town. That was the moment HANNAH decided Joe needed her number. He reached out within a matter of minutes and the rest is historyyyyy babyyyyy. They spent the rest of that year visiting each other every available weekend, eventually Hannah moved to Omaha, they bought a house, and have two cats. Purr
