Scott and Hannah met through a very special person near and dear to their hearts, Stacy Ledwith. Stacy is not only one of Hannah's best friends from college but coincidently Scotts younger sister.

Scott and Hannah briefly met for the first time in 2018 at a family graduation party. Here and there they would sporadically banter about the Yankees/Mets rivalry via Facebook messenger over the next few years. Fast forward to 2021, it was not until Hannah visited Stacy in Western NY with their best friend Kait that Hannah and Scott met again. From there, they became great friends over the next few months until it was undeniable that it was more than just a friendship. They did long distance for quite some time until Hannah moved and they bought a home together in June 2023. The summer was filled with some home renovations, family trips all over and lots of quality time together. On September 2nd, 2023 Scott and Hannah got engaged at Letchworth State Park, and the rest is history!
