We met in January 2019 during our last semester at the University of Minnesota. When my mom asked how we met, Josh told her we met via a “mutual friend” and I told her the truth - we met via Bumble, a dating app! We had our first date at Leo’s Chow Mein in St. Paul. Before the date even ended, Josh asked if we could see each other again. Even though we liked each other, I didn’t know where I was going to law school, so it seemed ridiculous to start dating someone in Minnesota. Because of that we stayed “just friends.” (Dear reader: I will admit we were delusional, even at this point, to believe we were just friends)

We continued to stay “just friends”, even after I started school. But once Covid hit, things changed. I was forced to quarantine with Josh for a week, where we binged Marvel movies and finally admitted we weren’t “just friends.”

Since then we hit some major life milestones together: we adopted two cats (Birdie & Sylvie), I graduated, passed the bar (with lots of emotional support from Josh), and started working as a lawyer, Josh became a Professional Engineer, we bought a house, and, of course, got engaged. Amongst the major milestones, we love spending time together with our favorite little things. We watch everything put out into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, cook together, travel, go to Wild and Gopher games, and play lots and lots of cards and board games with our family and friends.

We cannot wait for September 21. We are so grateful to be able to start our marriage surrounded by our favorite people! We hope you are ready to celebrate, dance, and eat because we cannot wait!
