Both the ceremony and reception will be held in the McDonnell Center at River Camp on the southern side of the zoo. We recommend guests enter through the South Entrance for the shortest walking distance.
What time will the ceremony start?
We will post the wedding ceremony time as we finalize our timeline. At this time we expect the ceremony to begin between 11am and noon. We ask guests to please arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes early. Guests are free to explore the zoo prior to the ceremony.
What should I wear (and not wear)?
We ask that guests wear semi-formal/cocktail attire. This includes but is not limited to a suit or a dress/skirt that is knee length or longer.
We request that guests avoid wearing any outfits that are majority white, ivory, champagne, or cream. White shirts with a suit or outfits with white in the pattern are allowed as long as the outfit is less than 50% of the above listed colors.
Will we be outside?
While the wedding will have plenty of space inside the McDonnell Center, we will have access to a private patio as well as access to the entire zoo.
Please keep in mind that it will be October in Missouri, which means it could be anywhere from 80F and sunny, to 40F and raining. We suggest checking the weather for the area as it gets closer to the wedding date and plan accordingly.
Is there a cost to enter the zoo?
The Saint Louis Zoo has free admission year round. However there is a fee to park in the zoo parking lots ($20 per vehicle).
There is free street parking available surrounding the zoo that is on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is also a free parking lot on the north side of the zoo near the Saint Louis Art Museum.
Is the zoo handicap accessible?
The zoo is fully ADA compliant and accessible. For those that may have mobility difficulties we are offering golf cart shuttling from the South Entrance to the McDonnell Center entrance. Unfortunately we cannot take the golf carts into the parking lots.
