What should I wear?

The recommended dress code is cocktail attire, but please wear whatever you're comfortable in! The wedding party members will be wearing dark blue suits or sage green and dusty blue dresses, but you are still more than welcome to wear these colours!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club (995 Myrtle Rd W Ashburn ON L0B 1A0). The ceremony will be outside in the Cedars Garden (weather permitting) and the reception is in the Compton room.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors in the Cedars Garden! The rain plan is inside in the Compton Room. The reception will be indoors in the Compton Room, but there are outside terraces as well around the room.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the Compton room, where we will be serving appetizers and beverages during a cocktail hour.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

The address is 995 Myrtle Rd W, Ashburn, ON. It's a short 10 minute drive from downtown Port Perry.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will start at 5pm, so we recommend you arrive around 4:30pm to find a seat!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Parking is free and available in the lot just outside the Royal Ashburn Golf Club.

Are kids welcome?

We are inviting kids to our wedding! Please check your invite as their names will be listed if they are invited. If you think your little one has been forgotten, we're sorry - please text Hannah at 905-244-1820!

Can I bring a plus one?

Our ceremony and reception are invite-only, so please check your invite to see if a plus one is listed for you!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by May 16, 2024!

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes! There are accessible entryways and elevators available.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

Yes! After the wedding ceremony, we will be serving light passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar.

Will dinner be served at the reception?

Yes! Please be sure to RSVP so you can select what meal you'd like.

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Yes! Please be sure to RSVP and note your dietary restriction or preference.

Will transportation be provided to and from the hotels and ceremony/reception?

We are offering two shuttle services - details below. If you are expecting to take the shuttle, please make sure you say so in your RSVP so we can make sure there are enough seats! Shuttle 1 is between Port Perry and Royal Ashburn. The shuttle will start at 4:00PM at Great Blue Heron Casino and Hotel (21777 Island Rd, Port Perry, ON L9L 1B6), then pick up guests at Foodland in Port Perry (278 Queen St, Port Perry, ON L9L 1B9) at 4:15PM. Guests will then be taken to the Royal Ashburn for the ceremony and wedding (995 Myrtle Rd W, Ashburn, ON L0B 1A0). The shuttle will pick guests up at 10:30PM or 1AM (you have a choice of which time you leave) and drop them back off at Foodland then Great Blue Heron Casino and hotel. Shuttle 2 is between Ajax and Royal Ashburn. The shuttle will start at 4:15PM at the Ajax hotels (they are very close together in the same plaza) at 500 Beck Crescent, Ajax, ON L1Z 1C9 and it will drop guests off at the Royal Ashburn for the ceremony and wedding (995 Myrtle Rd W, Ashburn, ON L0B 1A0). The shuttle will pick guests up at 10:30PM or 1AM (you have a choice of which time you leave) and drop them back off at the Ajax hotels.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Yes! However we will be having an unplugged ceremony so please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony (we'll be sure to share our professional photos with guests!)

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

For sure! Tag Hannah and Matt so we can see your great pics. :)

What are your wedding colours?

Sage green, dusty blue, rose pink and silver!
