Our Wedding

We were both raised in York, Pennsylvania and for a while only lived 2 blocks away from one another. We went to the same high school, only a year apart, both played soccer, and even had some of the same friends in the neighborhood and classes in school. You would think this meant we knew each other all this time, right? Nope! For the first parts of our lives, our paths seemed to be parallel and never intersecting. But as fate would have it, our paths would cross - however not in York, but instead when we both went to college 2 hours away in Philadelphia. A chance encounter at one of Temple University’s fitness centers where Hannah had her work study job and Lance was working out with his friends while wearing a York College shirt led to a first date going to see Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool. We’ve been inseparable ever since, whether it be Dunkin dates, dinner dates, road trips, or spending time with friends and family. From that first date, our life paths have become intertwined. We dated all through college and Lance’s graduate school, getting our first apartment together in West Philadelphia after Hannah’s graduation in 2019. In 2020 we adopted our crazy kitties Ren and Jasper. Then on March 16th, 2021, our 5-year dating anniversary, Lance played a scene from Deadpool where Ryan Reynolds proposes to his then-girlfriend Vanessa. Hannah, after being distracted playing with Ren and Jasper, turned around to the scene playing on the TV, Lance down on one knee, and Ryan Reynolds and Lance both saying “will you marry me?”, and she of course said yes! And now here we are, planning our wedding! We’re so excited to have you there on our big day as a part of this next chapter of our lives.
