Our Wedding

Hannah grew up in Orlando, Florida and went to Florida State University. She moved to Pittsburgh after graduating to work at Ernst &amp; Young. Rob was born in the north hills of Pittsburgh and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (he hasn't moved very far). They would both end up living close to one another in Pittsburgh's Southside. Rob and Hannah first met as coworkers at Mylan in internal audit. Each day the team would eat lunch in their corner of the office and Hannah and Rob realized they both enjoyed old comedy movies, Harry Potter, and SNL. A few months later, Rob threw a Halloween party at his apartment for his coworkers and said costumes were required. Not knowing Hannah lived a few blocks away, Rob was utterly shocked when the biker chick walking out of an alley across the street was her. It was that night that things changed and Rob caught Hannah laying in bed petting his dog Olly. She soon asked if she could walk him whenever Rob needed her too. Rob soon realized the offer was more of a "let me spend time with your dog" situation and in no time at all Olly was sleeping over at her apartment after being walked. Rob would even go pick him up before work from Hannah's apartment. Soon though, Rob and Hannah began spending more time together (with Olly of course) walking around the neighborhood and going to dog friendly restaurants. Hannah would also come over to Rob's apartment to watch Harry Potter with Olly. Eventually, Rob nervously asked Hannah out to dinner not knowing whether she was just a friend who liked his dog. Luckily, she said yes (although she did ask if Olly could come) and they ended up getting dinner at Proper in June 2018. Since then, they've added another dog to the family and bought a house together in Southside. They've enjoyed traveling, hiking, walking the dogs, and debating whether to buy snacks for what feels like the 100th Harry Potter marathon.

Ryan and Rob have been friends since college, through a business fraternity, and lived together for over three years. They share a love of beer, food, and Irish goodbye-ing their other friends on a night out to find good beer and food.  Since they first met, Rob and Ryan have made countless memories and having him as a Best Man will be an unforgettable one.

Josephine (Joje) and Hannah met each other at FSU while living in the honors dorm and dealing with some very "eccentric" random roommates. They spent the rest of college living together and worked at a sleep away camp in upstate NY during the summers. Although they now live in different states they have remained close friends and frequently take road trips to visit each other on the weekends. Hannah is honored to have Joje by her side on this special day.

Rob and Farrell's relationship started when they were 5 years old after Rob's family moved into a new house and Farrell asked if he could come out and play. It's been 30 years and not much has really changed besides considering anything that could be used as a lightsaber is a lightsaber. Farrell is a part of Rob's family and it wouldn't be a wedding without him.

Kristine and Hannah met while suffering through busy seasons in public accounting while working at E&Y together. They quickly become friends and would eventually become roommates. Hannah and her were inseparable drinking buddies and were never far from  Smokin Joe's or Carson City Saloon. Hannah can't wait to celebrate with Kristine and get "shmammered" (her word not ours).

Rob and Garrett met while working together at Mylan and quickly became friends. They've spent many nights watching the Penguins play at either Garrett or Rob's favorite bars and making the rounds at local breweries. With Covid things changed and they spent nights at each other's homes, when it was safe, ordering take out or eating one of Garrett and his wife's restaurant quality meat and cheese boards just catching up.

Mallory and Hannah have been friends since childhood and, while Mallory did go to rival University of Florida for college, that hasn't changed anything. Hannah and Mallory share a love of travel and made their first trip to Europe together with their high school German class. More recently they traveled to the west coast where spent a long weekend hiking in Yosemite National Park (one of Hannah's favorite memories). Hannah is really excited for her to be a part of this special day.

Jon and Rob have known each other since high school and became close after college. Jon founded a whiskey society and he and Rob have spent a little too much time talking about mouthfeel ever since. Rob can also claim responsibility for starting Jon's craft beer obsession. The wedding would not be complete without Jon and his dancing.

Growing up as cousins, Alanna and Hannah share many funny Snyder family memories. Of the nine cousins, Hannah and Alanna are the only girls so they have always had to stick together in a family of boys.  Living nearly 1,000 miles apart for a good portion of their lives never impacted their relationship and Hannah is so excited to have Alanna as a bridesmaid.

Mike and Rob met through their a business fraternity and ended up living together after graduating. They spent many nights out in Southside and many mornings listening to Tony Horton (of P90X fame) tell them to X themselves. Mike and Rob may live at opposite ends of the state now but, when together, it's like nothing has changed.

When Rob introduced Hannah to his family, Kara welcomed her with open arms. They both bonded over telling slightly embarrassing stories of Rob, Harry Potter, and their love of dogs. Their shared love of ice cream also leads them to alerting one another when Paige's Dairy Mart opens each year. Hannah can't wait to have Kara as a sister-in-law.

We have a room block (just click on the link and it should take you there), however, the cutoff date is November 1 to book! If we don't have the required number of rooms we may just book anyways so we aren't penalized. If you're interested and it's past November 1 just reach out to us.

Guests of the wedding will be given a free pass for December 2nd to explore both the natural history and art museum. Both are a great way to spend the day.

This is a beautiful building that overlooks the chapel we will be married in. The main room is akin to something you would see in Harry Potter. Additionally, the building has cultural rooms designed to represent different cultures before the signing of the US Constitution in 1787. This is a great place to grab a drink, eat some food, and enjoy different markets along this multi-block stretch near downtown Pittsburgh.
