Our Wedding

Serendipitously, in 2021, the love story of Hannah and Edgar began. They were two single twenty-somethings who each swiped right, unwittingly starting a special journey. Their first date coincided memorably with Luke Combs' performance at Appalachian State University. They found themselves at CoBo, their now-favorite sushi spot, sharing rolls and laughter.Despite the majority of their relationship being long-distance, Hannah and Edgar have enjoyed countless more dates since their first, always choosing each other every time. They are both pursuing their individual dreams: Hannah is dedicated to helping others as a nurse, and Edgar is in graduate school, aspiring to be a scientist and conservationist. Simultaneously, they are working towards their shared dreams of marriage, owning a home, and someday having children.Please enjoy our timeline through our relationship navigating, literally, through the long-distance.

Our wedding venue also has some fun activities like paragliding, kayaking, tubing, hiking, and mountain biking! Just minutes down the road from the beautiful Sky Retreat on the Blue Ridge Parkway is the Cascade lookout and hiking trail. The trail takes you through a descending landscape with a slightly rocky terrain that leads you to the Cascade Falls. The trail takes about 30 minutes round trip.
