Hannah and Anakin met in 2011 when they were entering 6th grade at Savannah Middle School. They didn't become friends at first, but Hannah quickly noticed him and developed a crush on him that wasn't very subtle.


Anakin eventually asked her out in 6th grade and they dated off and on throughout middle school. They quickly bonded through their shared love of video games, often staying up late on the weekends playing Minecraft and talking on a Skype call. Their personalities always complemented each other well.


They did eventually break up, as middle schoolers do, but they remained close friends. Even though they were tweens, Hannah knew that she had found the love of her life and throughout her teen years and into adulthood, she often thought of him as the "one who got away".

In 2016, during their sophomore year of high school, Hannah moved to North Carolina to be with her mother. At that point they hadn't talked in a while, and Hannah began developing her life in NC.


Then, in late 2020, Hannah received a message from Anakin on Facebook asking if she'd like to join a Discord server with him and all her old friends. Missing her life in Missouri and the friends she left behind, Hannah quickly joined.


For the next 4 years, Hannah and Anakin talked daily, played video games together, watched movies, and began rekindling their almost 10 year old relationship. It didn't take long for them to begin developing feelings for each other, and it was increasingly obvious to their friends.

Finally, Hannah had had enough of the South and decided it was time to go home and take a chance. In late February of 2024, just days before her big move to back to Missouri, Hannah confessed her feelings to Anakin. Anakin reciprocated, after leaving her on read for 20 minutes, and that was that.

Their relationship in adulthood came naturally and felt no different than the relationship they'd had for the previous 4 years. Once Hannah came up to Missouri, Anakin quickly moved back to Savannah from Columbia to move in with her.

Hannah and Anakin had been happily together for almost a year and a half by June of 2025. Things were going great for them, and talk of getting married and engagement ring preferences were discussed frequently. They both knew this was it for them, and they had their person. One night a few months before, they sat down together as Hannah went over everything she wanted in an engagement ring while Anakin fervently listened and took notes.

Finally, on June 27th, Hannah and Anakin went over to his parents' house for "dessert" (a ruse set up by Anakin and his mom) after having dinner together. This was typical for them, so Hannah was none the wiser. As she stepped out to the patio where they were presumably eating dessert, Hannah found Anakin waiting with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. Still not quite sure what was happening, she sat down to read the card he had placed in the bouquet. As she read, Anakin came to her side and watched the realization hit.

Anakin got down on one knee and asked Hannah to marry him, but not before Hannah asked, "Are you proposing?!"

She said yes, of course, and thus the wedding planning began!
