Some love stories start with grand romantic moments—ours began with a familiar face and a dating app.

We attended the same high school, but back then, we were just names and faces in a sea of mismatched outfits and cringy hairstyles. After graduation, we never expected to cross paths again. Fast forward eight years, and a simple swipe brought us back together, proving that sometimes, true love is just a click away, even if it took us a little longer to figure it out!

It all started with a message: "What's up, Hannah Tappan from high school? How've you been the last eight years?"—a bold opening line, but one that worked, because Hannah said yes to a date! From the moment we had our first date in November 2021, sparks were flying. The connection was instant, and by the end of the night, Adam knew Hannah was special—he had a feeling she might be the one. Less than two weeks later, he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Hannah, ever the voice of reason, thought that might be just a bit soon after their first date. So, with a smile, she turned him down—but that didn’t stop him from asking again every two weeks after that. Finally, on New Year’s Eve 2022, she gave him the answer he was hoping for: yes!

Only a few months later, life threw us a test when Adam broke his leg at rugby practice. Even though we’d only been dating for a short time, Hannah didn’t hesitate—she invited him to stay with her while he recovered. That was our “make or break” moment, and thankfully, it only brought us closer. He basically never left! By the end of 2022, Adam had officially moved in, and by summer 2023, we added our furry best friend, Angus, to our little family.

Then, in the spring of 2024, surrounded by our family and best friends, Adam asked Hannah another big question—and this time, she said yes the first time!
