Our Wedding

Was it fate to be placed in Dickinson's revolutionary "learning and living" seminar housing? Did destiny bind them together, like two cyborgs who's love even Asimov dares not dream of (so to speak)? Or was it the misfortune of getting your 6th out of 6 choice for Freshman Year Seminar - Prof. Yarnell's Cyborgs and Cybernetics in American Literature - landing our two star-crossed lovers between the hallowed limestone walls of Adams Hall? The answers to these questions only the broadly detested Campus Residence Director may know. Here's what we do know: The next year, Hannah &amp; Chris finally gave in to the constant jeers from the masses . "You guys act like an old married couple!" said some. "Do you have crushes on each other?" whispered others. "Do I need to wake Chris up, or you?" inquired Alan, primarily on Sundays, circa noon. Finally, on some inconsequential, paltry day in October, they decided to just date already. Over a decade has passed since those days spent meandering the familiar streets of Carlisle, Penna and we know how lucky we are to have so much to be thankful for. We've seen a great deal of the world around us together - from our second home of Malaga, Spain to our recent Great North American Road Trip. We have the two most lovely pets that ever were or will be in Mabel &amp; Sprig. And perhaps most importantly, we are fortunate enough to be well-loved by all of you. We're excited to celebrate the most Holy Sacrament of Marriage with you all in the most unholiest of ways - drinking, dancing, and howling at the moon. See you in Maine.

Traveling to Trickey Pond

Camp Skylemar is located about 45 minutes North of Portland, Maine. The 200-acre campus is located on Trickey Pond, connected to the much larger Sebago Lake. For Massachusetts travelers or ambitious road-trippers, we recommend driving up directly to Camp Skylemar. We're just under 2.5 hours from Boston. For Marylanders and other out-of-towners, flying into Portland, Maine (PWM) tends to be convenient and affordable. Flying into Boston Logan (BOS) is also a good option. In either case, a rental car is recommended.

Staying at Camp Skylemar

All guests are invited to stay with us on Skylemar's campus in one of their 35 modern cabins! This is not required, but is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in order for you to get the most enjoyment out of the weekend. There is an assortment of cabin types - they can hold anywhere from 4-10 people comfortably. The cabins are equipped with individual beds, sheets, pillows, and blankets, an overhead fan, and electricity. All have their own bathroom. The majority have their own shower, and about a third have a modern, updated, detached shower house. These cabins are on the house - you do not need to pay for this lodging! If you do stay with us at Skylemar, there will be parking on campus with staff members to help direct you to your lodge. We would prefer not to have people coming and going from Skylemar's campus throughout the weekend as much as possible! You can find packing tips in the Q &amp; A section of this website. If you do NOT choose to stay with us at Skylemar, there are a few local options for your stay. We recommend Lakeview Inn, Fox Hollow Cottages, or Point Sebago Resort. There will not be hotel blocks at any resort nearby. Please plan your travel accordingly - have your designated driver selected before the wedding. We are excited to have all of our closest friends and family all together for the weekend.
