What's the Weather Like?

A bit unpredictable. Florida can see springtime temps or winter temps in December. Over the past 25 years, the mean low on the 27th of December was 41.84 degrees (early morning) and the mean high (at ceremony time) was 63.76 degrees. However, rain was more than a mist only 2 of those 25 years. On the low end the temp was 30 degrees 5 of 25 times and 25 3 of 25 times. The highest morning low was 66. At ceremony time the most common temperature was 57 (3 of 25 times) with 57, 66, and 72 all appearing 2 of 25 times. Ultimately, the coldest morning temp over the 25 years was 25 degrees and the highest temp at ceremony time was 80.

Appropriate Footwear

The ceremony is on grass. Heals are not recommended. The bride and groom are wearing boots.

Is There an Open Bar?

No. Limited beer and alcohol will be provided.

What Time Should I Arrive?

The ceremony is at 3:00 pm but we strongly recommend that people arrive by 2:15 pm.

What Happens if I Arrive Past 3 PM?

Please drive in, follow signs to find parking on your own and join the celebration quietly.

Dress Code

It's a country, outdoor wedding in December with a blue and gold theme (not that guests need to match). Reasonable wedding attire is expected, no jeans and t-shirts please.

What About Cell Phone Use During the Ceremony?

For pictures...sure but please respect those behind you. Please ensure that your ringer is turned off. The bride insists that there be plenty of captures of the groom's reaction to her arrival (which she expects will be properly romantic of him ;) ).

Are Kids Allowed?

Yes, but please remember the weather. Also, this wedding is on a small farm -- not at a wedding venue "farm" and woods are nearby. Keeping an eye on children you bring will be important.

Is There a Reception

Yes. It's at the same location.
