From the depths of a bleak and cynical dating scene, two exhausted yet hopeful souls threw caution to the wind and decided to meet at a place so romantic it puts your favorite fairy tale venue to shame: Tacos Ameca 3 in Morgan Hill, California; known throughout the world as "those few freeway exits before you hit San Jose". Chemistry was in the air, along with the aroma of various marinated meats. Although a deeply unserious human, Paul was smart enough to recognize the instant connection and was immediately drawn to Hannah's warmth and authenticity. They bonded over the exhausting nature of the caring empathy that is a defining characteristic of them both. They connected over their passion for dogs, silliness, and their loved ones. As Paul had predicted in the first 5 minutes of meeting in person, Hannah instantly fit in with Paul's family, friends, and, perhaps most importantly, his dogs; Isaac and Bonnie. Once Hannah's dogs, May and Angel (AKA Peanut) approved of Paul, there was no looking back.
After a springtime engagement, they moved into their first home together in the garlic capital of the world, Gilroy, California. They are settling into life together with their blended family of 6 (Hannah, Paul, and the 4 pups). Paul is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at a community mental health non-profit in Morgan Hill, and a small private practice in Gilroy. Hannah is a Fine Dining Server at the nationally renowned Shadowbrook Restaurant in the idyllic coastal town of Capitola.
When time and injuries permit, Paul plays in a hockey league where Hannah enjoys watching grown men and women fall on the ice, except when it's Paul getting hurt again. They enjoy spending time with local friends and loved ones, as well as going to concerts and sporting events, especially the San Jose Sharks! They can often be found at home, laughing at their own silly jokes, and snuggling with the dogs that run the house.
