Trav and I have known each other since 2009. Spending time together going into senior year of high school before losing touch for 11+ years.

After making the move to the middle of nowhere, I noticed a very good looking guy in my area, turns out it was Travis, for a Guard training event. We met up for drinks and to catch up while he was in town and from that moment on, we spent weekends taking turns traveling to see each other.

Travis told me we were “end game” while at Cleo’s, after hearing from me, regularly, that I see this being the “real deal”.

Travis announced his deployment while we were going to a brewery and I immediately said… so when are we going to look for rings- somewhat joking but not really. The next day he took me to a very special jewelry store, the one store I shopped at with my dad growing up. I picked out a ring that was “my dream ring” and left it in his hands. Little did I know, he purchased the ring that day.

September 27, he popped the question, with Bear as a witness to the pure joy and happiness we both felt.
