Ethan and Hannah were introduced by Hannah's sister at College Church. Hannah, Ethan, Malee, Trevor Gilkerson, Caleb Williams, and Abby Douglas proceeded to have many enjoyable post-College Church brunches.

Group brunches turned into one on one pre-class breakfast. 2 freshmen from Hannah's sociology class came up to Hannah and asked her if Ethan was her fiance. Since they were not even dating, Ethan and Hannah found this very amusing. When Ethan got Hannah's number using a well place pun, (Is anyone suprised by that?) he went into her phone as Fiance. ----- Hehe we made it true. Please ignore the image of Yahweh. It was another pun.

Ethan and Hannah attended Dan Brass's superbowl party. Hannah told Ethan she wasn't planning on attending. He said he was going and she immediately said she would try to make it. When she got to the party there were no seats next to Ethan, who was the reason Hannah had come in the first place. Evan Peace got up to grab a plate of food and Hannah swept in, stole his seat, and laughed at all of Ethan's puns. Hannah couldn't have been less subtle if she wacked him over the head -- oh wait she did that too. The next Sunday (A WHOLE week later) Ethan asked Hannah out.

Hannah and Ethan were still in the early phases of dating when Spring Break occured. Ethan called Hannah every other day and cemented his claim that since most of his important relationships (his family and BFA friends) were long distance they could handle beginning a relationship so close to Hannah's graduation.

Hannah bought Ethan a cupcake, a candle, and watched Lord of the Rings with Ethan for his birthday. Ethan says this the day he fell in love with Hannah. (Picture was taken by Ethan, hence the photo quality and Hannah's hair.)

Hannah graduated from Wheaton College and Ethan and Hannah's long distance relationship began. This was also the day Ethan met Hannah's family.

Hannah got to visit Ethan in New York and meet some of his family.

Ethan came to visit Hannah in Wisconsin. They went on a hike and Hannah was stung by a bug she was allergic to. Her chin swelled up and Ethan told her she looked like Waluigi. Not the most flattering comment, but definitely descriptive.

Hannah was able to visit Ethan some on weekends. She crashed on the couch of Angel Lin, Abby Buck, or her cousin Jenny whenever she visited. They were very very kind.

Hannah visiting Ethan in New York again. This time she got to meet the Zerbe side of the family as well.

Really thankful for modern technology.

Hannah and Ethan celebrated one year of officially dating.

Hannah and Ethan went on a hike (or as Ethan calls it a "walk") with Angel Lin. They had a delightful time.

Hannah joined Ethan's family vacation. It was lovely to get to know Ethan's parents and siblings (and Caleb McClymont) better and go on some beautiful hikes.

Hannah began her ABSN program, which led to much less time together.

Hannah managed to make it to Caleb and Kayla's wedding. It was sweet to see Ethan's sister so happy.

Hannah and Abby Tenniswood visited a jewerly store and Hannah tried on rings. Ethan and Hannah had determined around when they would get engaged.

Ethan was introduced to life at Grandma and Grandpa Smith's. Grandpa found out Ethan is the same size as he was when he was young, so Ethan got to try on all his old clothes. Pester him if you want pictures.

One of many days at Jenny and Darren's. They are so kind to let Hannah stay with them when she is at Wheaton and the kids are so sweet. Ethan might be more popular than Hannah at this point.

Hannah and Ethan celebrated their first Christmas where they were not long distance in Tajikistan with Ethan's family. Hannah heartily enjoyed the Zerbe's traditions and felt very loved.

The Zerbe's took Hannah on a trail called 7 Bridges.

All of the bridges had been washed out, but there were metal frames across where the bridges used to be. Climbing over was a fun adventure.

Especially with Jadda (the dog) involved.

We had a chance to play volleyball with some other exppats. It was very fun and a good chance for Hannah to get to know some of the people Ethan grew up with.

Hannah and Ethan attended Kade Erikson and Abby's wedding. Ethan was so very happy to stand up in Kade's wedding. After living in Tajikistan together and going to boarding school in German, Ethan Zerbe and the Erikson brothers are very tight. It was sweet to see such a steadfast friendship.

Hannah is writing out this story at 1:30 am when she has to be up by 8 am tomorrow. But hey that's a late start compared to every other day of the week! In case you can't tell... I really love Ethan and I love talking about him. I can't wait until we're married and I get to see him everyday.
