Our Wedding

How we met depends on who you ask… The first date took awhile, mainly because Hannah kept finding an excuse not to do it. Thank God, Michael never gave up. We went to the movies and of course, Twist Cone. We had a couple quick dates in the next couple weeks and then Hannah moved back to Nebraska for her junior year of college. The relationship shifted to long phone calls (every night) and spending time playing video games together. COVID happened and Hannah moved home for her second semester and we got to start spending more time together. Summer was spent taking turns between Clear Lake and Mansfield for the weekends. Hannah's senior year came and back to Nebraska it was...more long phone calls and the occasional visit. Finally, after graduation Hannah moved to Watertown with Michael. They brought home Bob, and for the next couple years they lived together in Watertown. The day before moving out to Hannah's family farm, Michael proposed. They moved into the old farm house and have been continuing to build the life with love they started in 2019.

Our Story

If you are coming from Aberdeen area: Please head south on HWY 281 out of Aberdeen towards Warner and turn right (west) off 281 at the Warner Agtegra (142nd st) and continue for four miles. Turn left (south) on Brown County 6 (382nd Ave) for 3 miles. Turn left (east) on 145th street on the gravel once you see the grain bins. The farm is the second house on this road on the right side. If you are coming from Watertown area: Take HWY 20 to Mellette. At Mellette, turn north on 281 and continue until you see the sign for Mansfield. Turn left (west) towards Mansfield. Head west and turn right (north) on Brown County 6 (382nd Ave). Go three miles north on this road and turn right (East) onto 145th St at the grain bins. The farm is the second house on this road. There will be signs to assist you at major turns as you get closer to the farm. Please do NOT contact the bride or groom the day of. If needed before the day of, ask them to drop a pin for you. Day of, please contact someone else to help you with directions. Thank you! We know we can be hard to find, we are happy you made it out here! :)

Since preschool, Tonya and Hannah have become best of friends throughout all of life’s journeys. From sleepovers as kids to sleepovers as adults (but now with more money for Twins tickets and concerts), distance only made the heart grow fonder. But most importantly, she is estactic to support her lifelong friend begin this exciting new journey with her marriage to Michael.” - her boyfriend, Jake, at 2am.

“If you've ever met Nick, you know he always has to have something in his hand whether it's a tool to fix projects around the farm, a fishing pole out in the boat on the lake, a pistol usually aimed at some type of annoying pests, or just a beer while catching up with family/friends. His favorite pasttime is spending time with all of our animals and yes even our horses and cats too even though he won't admit it out loud to anyone lol. He is soon going to be the best dad to a little girl that he can't wait to teach all of the things he learned from Hannah and Tanner growing up!”- Huber’s wife who’s gonna have the cutest lil girl soon!
