Hannah and Noah met at Northern Michigan University in the fall of 2017. The relationship started as "just friends" but soon bloomed into more. Hannah fell for Noah's charm, humor, and quick wit. Similarly, Noah fell for Hannah's beauty, sarcastic quips, and compassion.

After a few months of knowing each other, Noah finally built up the confidence to ask Hannah out. Hannah graciously accepted. Their first date was at a Marquette favorite, "fancy" restaurant, Casa Calabria. After enjoying a delicious meal of Italian food, Noah took Hannah to Little Presque Isle and officially asked her to be his girlfriend. Which, again, Hannah accepted. From then on they were pretty inseparable. They hung out in between classes and every evening.

Noah graduated college in 2019 and Hannah still had two years left of school. Thus began the long distance chapter in this story. Noah accepted his current job, which required him to travel across the country for training, and relocate permanently to Washington, DC. Hannah would visit him from time to time and Noah would go back to Marquette when feasible. Although it was hard, they worked through the distance and time apart to come out the other side even stronger than they were before. Hannah moved to the nation's capital only a month after graduating college in 2021 and they began their life physically together.

Hannah and Noah began to get used to being with each other in person again, and they began to plan for the future. Eventually, they talked about rings. Noah studiously gathered information and preferences from Hannah about the type of ring she would want, and put a plan in motion to ask Hannah to spend the rest of her life with him. In 2022, they were going to Illinois to spend Christmas with family and friends. Noah went out a few days early to prepare. On December 23, 2022, Noah picked Hannah up from the airport, and was going to take her to the beautifully decorated downtown Huntley, IL. A fresh coat of snow had just fallen and there were lights all around. However, a cold snap came through and it was about -20 degrees outside. So, in his parents' living room, in front of the family Christmas tree, Noah proposed to Hannah and she said... "NO! You can't be doing this!" However, she said yes immediately after and the happy couple was officially engaged!
