Which hotel do I book?

Both the Hampton Inn and Home2Suites (on the travel page) have blocks for our wedding guests. Please book before October 1, 2024 to receive the discounted rate. The rooms are filling fast as there are a lot of weddings that weekend so be advised it is first come, first serve. The hotels are incredibly close to one another (please reference the picture).

How far is the venue from the hotel?

It is 14 miles to and from the hotel(s) and the venue. It will be an approximate 22-28 minute ride. Plan accordingly.

Will there be transportation provided?

Yes. We will have a bus leaving from the Hampton Inn (see the travel page for the address) at 2:30pm to take you to the venue. That bus will then be making trips back to that hotel after the wedding. Refer to the travel section for departure times. We ask that all guests who plan to use the provided transportation to indicate so, on their RSVP. If you have already RSVPed and did not mark that you would be using our transportation and would like to, please reach out to the bride or groom to let them know. Thank you.

How do I get to the venue?

The address for the venue is provided on the home page. Lauxmont Farms has four different venues on their property. Pay attention to the signage for the Baton wedding at the Japanese Gardens. You will pass a farmhouse and another venue on your right before approaching the Japanese Gardens up the hill. Follow the signage to the parking area in the grass. If you are planning to use our transportation services to and from the venue, we will have a bus leaving from the Hampton Inn (see the travel page for the address) at 2:30pm to take you to the venue. That bus will then be making trips back to that hotel after the wedding. Refer to the travel section for departure times.

Where is the ceremony and the reception taking place?

The ceremony and the reception are both taking place at Lauxmont Farms, at the Japanese Gardens venue.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is dressy casual, semi-formal. Be advised: The ceremony is outside and the reception is under a tent. While there will be heating lamps and tent flaps to contain heat within the reception area, dress accordingly so you can be comfortable.

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

We kindly ask the Ladies to refrain from wearing white, ivory, champagne or cream colored attire.

What if it rains- does this change the venue?

No. If it rains, we will have the ceremony moved underneath the tent and adjust accordingly.

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Please contact us or indicate in your RSVP notes if you have dietary restrictions so we can plan ahead.

Are kids welcome?

Unless clearly stated on your invite, kids are not invited to the wedding.

Do you have a gift registry?

Yes, please see the registry page. We greatly appreciate all gifts! Our top priority is contributions towards our honeymoon. We will be going to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic after the wedding. Contributions towards excursions and added spa services are appreciated! We are looking forward to this as much as the wedding!
