Our Story

Our Story

Our story began at a small-town grocery store. I had just started working my first part-time job while he was stocking shelves one day. After our manager introduced us, we were attracted to each other right away. With Logan’s fun and outgoing personality, we would joke and laugh all night until the store closed. We exchanged numbers and began hanging outside of work.

One of our first conversations was about his shoulder surgery and how loopy he was on the medications. We both laughed at how neither one of us was good at sports. I remember sitting on the roof of his car, sharing deep conversations and just getting to know each other. Since then we have graduated from college, moved to a new state, and bought a house!

The Proposal

On the morning of Logan’s proposal, he spontaneously asked me to go fishing. He tried picking out a nice outfit for me, which I thought was ridiculous considering it was so hot and sunny out. While I got ready to go, Logan packed the boat, made coffee, and bought donuts. On the way to the lake, I ate my donut and drank my coffee as usual. I noticed a little that logan wasn’t drinking his coffee or eating his donut. Not thinking much of it, we took the boat out as usual.

The sun was beating down making us uncomfortable and sweaty. I was worried about our dog overheating while Logan was worried bout something else. He had shouted at me to come over and look at a HUGE fish in the water. I told Logan that I couldn’t see it and he told me to keep looking. Not being able to see the fish, I angrily turned around and saw Logan holding a card very serious. As I read the car out loud, I began to choke up and tears started to swell in my eyes. With all the sweating and tears, my sunscreen ran into my eyes causing them to burn. Once I got to the end of the card, Logan knelt down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
