I first laid eyes on Kyle at the picnic tables of Common Grounds. He didn't talk to me or even acknowledge my existence, and he doesn't even really remember it.

Kyle thinks he first laid eyes on me when he saw me working in the student services office. He was working on the second floor in academic services and thought he had first discovered me. So he started asking around to see what he could find out about me. Of course I only got glowing reviews. Our friend Zach told us that we are both simple and that it could work. I didn't know any of this was goin' on and I was just doing my work. So when Kyle started coming around to the Student services office, I didn't know that he had already been working behind the scenes. So I was just thinking, "Why's this guy just keep coming to my place of work?!" Kyle claims that I angrily stormed off after he asked for my number. (Which she did) But I was just overwhelmed (by my beauty) and again, he was at my place of work. AND I had to text him first!

Our first date was to Helberg BBQ (rip). This is where Kyle choked on a peppercorn. It wasn't too embarrassing though because our second date was the Baylor football game the next day! My mom knew that I was probably in love when I told her that I was going to the game in the cold rain. That week she told my dad that something good must be happening because I was in a better mood. (She was) From then on, I was down bad. (Me too)

After that, we went on many long walks and car rides with Poe, met each others families, and grew to know each other better through many conversations. (I was also a boss at Main Event winning games left and right). Kyle told me he loved me after a beautiful drive through my hometown. I told him I loved him too and that he better not ask me to marry him any time soon. (This was in March 2023)

That summer we had been looking at engagement rings and I told Kyle, "You better not propose before November." (lol okie dokie) When we went to Alabama that summer, Kyle had to ask my parents for their blessing to marry me because we wouldn't see them in person again before November. (I made her dad a pie as a peace offering. He loved it! Thanks Aunt Linda for the recipe.) Then we were jokingly looking at wedding stuff online and saw a venue we might like. That night we stayed up talking so late that we couldn't leave the next day. So we decided that we would peep in the windows of the venue we liked and look at engagement rings. That day we found our venue and my engagement ring! Despite telling Kyle to wait until November, at that point I wanted him to propose the next day. What a shocking turn of events towards the end of our times in seminary! (I only had one month to plan and perfect the proposal in Waco)

Kyle set up a beautiful sunrise proposal and had both of our families and friends there on July 15. It was perfect. (Note to anyone who may want a sunrise proposal in the future, it is really hard to try and make it a surprise!!!) I cannot wait to see what the rest of our future together holds! (I am more excited! <3) We love you all and thank you so much for all of the ways y'all have poured into us. We would not have been here without all that y'all have taught us and done for us. We are forever thankful for everyone.
