John and Hannah met for their first date on a Saturday afternoon at Flip's Italian. They hit it off, and John decided to ask Hannah on another date the following day, Easter Sunday. While this was all so sudden, they went on another great date after they were both back in town after a short 24 hours away. They walked around the Myriad Botanical Gardens after drinks at Flint. This date was special because it was the day before John was leaving for a month-long training in Florida. The two spoke everyday and ended up growing close. When John came back to Oklahoma, they went on a few more dates. Hannah was going off to work in Arkansas for the summer, and John planned a surprise party for her birthday exactly one month early with a few friends before she left at the end of May. The following day, May 22, 2021, John asked Hannah to be his girlfriend.

The two spent much time together and apart due to deployment schedules. Thankfully John was able to stay in Oklahoma City for his current tour, allowing them to be together more often. After dating for more than two years, John asked Hannah to go on a nice walk at the Myriad Botanical Gardens on November 18, 2023. They would then meet a set of friends and his parents for dinner afterward. When they arrived at the garden, John told Hannah to walk a certain way to see his friends. She started walking away, then realized he wasn't following her. When she turned around, John was on one knee, where he asked Hannah to marry him. She of course said yes! John planned the most amazing night with their friends and families from all over at the Jones' Assembly and a party at his house. What a great start to forever!

We could go on and on about the wonderful memories and the special place you all have in our love story. We cannot wait for August 31st to arrive and get to call each other husband and wife forever. Cheers to the future and continuing to build a wonderful life together!
